About Me
My name is Zitao Ni (倪 ní 子 zǐ 涛 tāo). I obtained my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Kyushu University (九州大学), Japan, in May 2025, under the supervision of Prof. Hisahiro EINAGA (永長 久宽) and Assoc. Prof. Hajime HOJO (北條 元) at the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences (IGSES).
My research focuses on microwave-assisted heating for energy catalysis, photocatalytic materials for solar cells and water splitting, and heterojunction materials design. My work spans from natural polymer modification during my undergraduate years to silicon/organic thin-film integrated solar cells during my master's, and ultimately to energy catalysis driven by microwave-assisted heating during my doctoral studies.
Before joining Kyushu University, I received my M.S. in New Energy Materials and Devices from Yunnan University (云南大学) in 2021, supervised by Prof. Yu Yang and Assoc. Prof. Tao Sun, and my B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Anhui Agricultural University (安徽农业大学) in 2018, supervised by Prof. Hui Gao.
I enjoy interdisciplinary research that bridges fundamental materials science with practical energy applications. I am always open to discussions and collaborations — feel free to reach out at nizitao1996@outlook.com.
